Cricket Poo?

Well I’ll be darned! I sure come across some pretty whacky stuff online. My latest find is CricketPoo.com – a website devoted solely to selling “the best totally organic fertilizer in the world”!
I have to admit, the name definitely caught my eye. Whats interesting is that – as I learned on the website – they originally called the product “JumpStart”, but decided to go the ‘poo’ route so as to ensure people really knew what they were getting.
From a marketing standpoint I definitely think this was a wise decision – I probably wouldn’t have given it a second glance had the name been ‘Jumpstart’.
So where does all this poo come from? From Ghan’s Cricket Farm in Augusta Georgia, where millions of little chirpers are bred each year.
I love when entrepreneurs take advantage an opportunity to turn a waste product into a side business!
