Fuel Efficiency in Style - American Roadster

I just came across the Eco-Fueler website and it captured my attention. According to the website they are marketing their car, The American Roadster™ as “The Most Revolutionary Vehicle Since The Model A Ford”. That is a pretty bold statement and I hope this car lives up to their marketing claims. According to the website, The American Roadster runs on compressed natural gas, travels can achieve 70 mpg, costs $7.00 for 700 miles of travel and will go 0-60 in 5 seconds. SIGN ME UP, I am sold! Actually, I need to do more research before I write a cheque for this new roadster. The MSRP is $19,900 USD and includes a home fueling compressor. I am curious to know how easy and safe it is to fill up your roadster at home. The other question I have is the safety and durability of the vehicle. Have they conducted road and safety tests on the roadster? When bringing a vehicle to market there are a lot of factors that need to be considered. I am all for eco-alternative vehicles and encourage companies and entrepreneurs to pursue new technologies, but I want to make sure that I am not sacrificing safety for eco-friendliness. I will keep an eye on the website and see if safety data becomes available. Check out the company website and see the sleek roadster. I would love to test drive one!
