Dupont Makes Huge Sustainability Commitment

Chemical giant Dupont has announced some major environmental commitments today.
Here is a run down, as reported in a Houston Chronicle article:
- Double funding (to $800 million) for research and development in “environmentally smart” technologies and products.
- Increase annual revenue from technologies that improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by $2 billion by 2015
- Double annual revenue from non-depletable resources to at least $8 billion by 2015
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 15 percent (already 70 percent reduced since 1990) .
Sounds great (IF they do honour these commitments). Hopefully some of the other industry giants won’t be too far behind!
