What’s It Mean To Be Green?
Just read a great article in The Press called ‘What’s It Mean To Be Green’.
After seeing the movie ‘An Incovenient Truth‘, and taking Al Gore’s 10-years-to-save-the-plant message very seriously, columnist Kate Lock has decided its time to really start living in a more earth friendly manner. As such she will be setting up a series of ‘Eco-Challenges’ for herself and her family.
Her goals include:
- Getting to grips with alternative methods of transport
- Altering the lazy way I shop and what we eat
- Making ours an energy-efficient home
- Reducing the waste we throw out
- Cutting our water use
- Reassessing how and where we take our holidays - and even how we celebrate Christmas.
I really enjoyed the article because it was written by an average citizen who wants to start living more sustainably - plain and simple! That’s what we are all about here at EcoSherpa, and precisely the idea behind our motto, ‘Realistic, Responsible Living’.
