Myearthdream!

I was on my daily search for cool and exciting eco-news, when I came across the myearthdream.com website from Honda. When you get to the page, you will notice an F1 race car that is covered with an image of the earth, and the slogan “But we can do more than dream”. The site is very clean and simple and lacks the corporate branding that you might come to expect from the automobile giant, Honda.
The car and the website is all about raising awareness of environmental issues and to encourage people everywhere to make a difference in their lifestyle.
How can you make a difference?
The answer is simple, make a pledge! Once you have done that, your name will appear, not only in a pixel on the digital car, but also as a teeny part of the artwork on the real F1 car. I hope the people who make a pledge on the website, follow through and begin to make changes in their lifestyles. As we always mention here at EcoSherpa, it is all about realistic and responsible living. The myearthdream.com website mentions a small ways that you can make a positive impact:
Share my car
Cut unnecessary flights
Install at least three energy saving light bulbs
Take the bus or train
cycle to work or the shops
Turn my thermostat down by 1C
Give up ironing
Turn off the tap while I clean my teeth
Recycle my paper
Change my energy supply to a renewable power supplierSmall things come together to make big things happen

give up ironing? what stupid ideas are these! as if a middle-class american or european person’s only impact on environment is energy consumption. these are only nonsense feel-good practices, like driving a honda insight. honda started to make big suvs and s.u.trucks. does that make sense? are honda themselves so environmentally friendly? bullshit!
