Solar Showers for 2008 Olympic Athletes
I am excited to see that the 2008 Beijing Olympics will be adopting environmentally friendly technologies. The Beijing Olympic organizers are hoping to host a green Olympics. With a massive global audience, the 2008 Olympics would be a great venue to spread the word about climate change and eco-friendly technologies.
A new state-of-the-art solar power system from Germany will be providing hot showers to more than 10,000 athletes. The Italian g government made the donation for the new solar equipment. The equipment has been tested in a pilot project and the results are positive.
I am going to do some digging and see what else I can find out about the 2008 Beijing Olympics. I hope the organizers make every effort possible to adopt green technologies.
