Good News From GigoIt

GigoIt

Just a quick update on one of our recent posts.
Not too long ago I wrote about GigoIt, the interesting alternative to Freecycle.

As I mentioned, it sounded like a great site but one of the major downsides seemed to be the fact that it is only available for people in the U.S.
Well, according to GigoIt’s president Peter Schmalfeldt - who left a comment on the blog today - they do in fact have plans to expand. Here’s what he had to say:

Greetings,

I just wanted to mention that http://www.gigoit.org is in fact planning to go international. Within the next few months we have plans to begin development with the English speaking countries and then pan out from there. Sites like yours are truly what help us know where we should be heading.

Keep up the great work, and thanks for the great article!

We definitely appreciate Peter stopping by, and look forward to being able to use Gigoit in Canada!

Greetings,

As promised, we are now offering Gigoit service to Canada as well as the UK. Thank you again for the kind words and we look forward to helping your visitors find a new home for their reusable items.

Please let us know what you think, and what we can do to improve our service.

Looking forward to your comments,

- Peter Schmalfeldt (President, Gigoit Inc)

Please let us know if something seems buggy to you, our site has literally only been semi-international for about 3 hours now. We spent the past few days working out the bugs, but is something does not seem to be working right, by all means let us know on our forum.
