Every Little Bit Counts…Well, Almost

What the heck - it IS Friday after all, so a little goofiness never hurts!
The earthships post led me to do some more surfing around on YouTube - I wanted to see if I could find any other interesting eco-related videos.

I came across one entitled “Lets Save The Environment Music Video”. I figured it might be worth a look-see.

For the most part, I tend to subscribe to the notion that ‘every little bit counts’ when it comes to environmentalism. Some would argue this sort of attitude leads people to take small insignificant actions then assume they have done their part. While this may be true for some, I personally think small steps can often lead to bigger steps etc (I’ve experienced this first hand)!

Anyway, seeing videos like this kinda make me question my reasoning! ;-)

According to the description this video is in fact totally legit - NOT a spoof!

Earthships Revisted

You may recall my Earthship post from September. Well, yesterday I came across some interesting videos at YouTube all about Earthships. The sound isn’t the greatest and they seemed to have some technical difficulties (stopping part way through), but still definitely worth a look. They discuss how Earthships are built (actually one of the videos seems to have no audio at all, but is interesting nevertheless), and showcase quite a few different buildings that have been built using these methods.

Earthships 101 Part II

Earthship Biotecture Demonstration and Disaster Relief
(no audio for me)
